Another man waiting in fuel queue dies after falling ill

A 60-year-old man who was in Payagala's gasoline line outside of a gas station at the time of his tragic death this morning at around 2.30 a.m. (July 07). After being taken by ambulance to the District General Hospital in Kalutara, he was later declared dead. The deceased, who worked as a three-wheeler driver, was recognized as a local of the Moratuwa region.

Police obtain court order against protest planned at Olcott Mawatha

A court order has been obtained by Colombo Fort Police to prevent a demonstration that will be held today at Olcott Mawatha in Colombo by a group of Buddhist monks and other religious leaders (07).
